Thomas Rischke, Founder & Managing Partner
Thomas Rischke is the Founder of Orange Ridge Capital, bringing nearly thirty years of experience in investment banking and real asset management to the firm. His career has focused on the intersection of institutional finance and the application of technology within the sustainable real asset sector.

Thomas has focused on the practical application of emerging technologies to optimize the management of physical assets. To support this, he has developed a global network of professionals in Data and AI, space-based observation, and robotics. This network facilitates the deployment of advanced analytics and automated monitoring across the firm’s interests in timberland, agriculture, and carbon capture, aiming to improve operational transparency and resource efficiency.
Professional Background
Thomas began his career in 1996 as a sales-trader at ING Financial Markets in Amsterdam. In 1998, he was appointed to establish and manage the treasury-sales operation for the firm in Frankfurt. From 2001, he held Director-level positions in trading and sales at several major financial institutions, such as UBS, Lehman Brothers and Dresdner Bank, where he serviced European institutional investors.
Before establishing Orange Ridge Capital, he was responsible for institutional timberland sales at Darion Capital Management, representing the forestry manager BAUM Management.
Education And International Experience
Thomas has lived and worked in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, and London. He attended the German School in The Hague and studied Finance at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He is a native speaker of German, Dutch, and English, and possesses a working comprehension of Portuguese, supporting the firm’s activities across diverse geographic regions.
